    This course is designed for those that assess in a simulated environment. This course suits teachers and trainers that don't carry out any dynamic assessments within the workplace or as part of a vocational course, but still need to be able to assess students against set standards.

  • If you wish to complete workplace or vocational assessment

    For those wishing to undertake vocational or workplace assessment you need to complete this unit first before you are able to progress onto the practical stages of the higher qualification.

  • Your qualifications are out dated

    Many people have assessor qualifications which they have held for years and are no longer recognised. This course is a quick and simple way to update your skills and qualifications to those that employers are more likely to recognise.

Meet your Trainer

Hazel Douglas

Hazel is the founder of Epic training and as such delivers the majority of courses. She has been a member of the fire service fire for over 20 years and really enjoys the role of training. Her passion for teaching led her to undertake the Cert Ed qualification and split her time between active fire duties and an education role. Her years of experience within a firefighting role and education role means that Hazel is able to deliver a vast range of courses to an exceptionally high standard, she is also able to offer a practical approach as she has dealt with all of the situations covered within the course.

  • How is this course taught?

    This module is taught completely online, you have to work your way through the theory and then at the end there are a number of tasks for you to complete. They include assignments, professional discussions and powerpoint.

  • Is there a time limit to complete this section of the course?

    Initially you will have 60 days from registering, if you need an extension then just contact your tutor who will be happy to assist you.

  • Is this course accredited?

    The course is accredited by Highfield who externally invigilate the course. Your certificate does not expire although some employers may want you to maintain a CPD record to show you have been using and maintaining your skills.

  • I haven't studied for years, am I capable?

    We understand that returning to education can seem daunting, however, can assure you that you're not alone. Whilst we can't do the work for you, we can support you with your learning style to ensure you have the best possible opportunity. Also remember your tutor is on hand to support and guide you all the way through.

  • How long will it take to complete the course?

    This depends on you, it isn't a short course and has 30 hours as the total qualification time allocated to it. This includes the time for you to complete your assessments. Some people will complete it sooner some will take longer. There is no rush and it isn't a competition.

  • I am worried I will get side tracked?

    We understand that if you're not actually going to a class, it can be difficult and If you need a study buddy to motivate and guide you, this can be arranged, don't forget that your tutor is always on hand to assist as well.
